Furniture designs created specifically for your project remain your property, while our general design methodologies, joinery techniques, and workshop processes are proprietary to Frexalonphep.

Custom Furniture Orders

When placing an order for custom furniture through Frexalonphep:

  • All orders are subject to acceptance by us after consultation and design approval
  • Prices are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are subject to change based on timber selection, complexity, and specifications
  • Custom furniture is made to order in our Christchurch workshop and typically requires a 30-50% deposit upon order confirmation
  • Delivery times are estimates based on project complexity and timber availability; typical lead times range from 6-12 weeks
  • All furniture specifications, including dimensions, timber species (Rimu, Kauri, Totara, Radiata Pine, Douglas Fir), finishes, and design details must be confirmed in writing before production begins
  • Changes to specifications after production begins may incur additional charges
  • Furniture is crafted specifically for your space and requirements; standard return policies do not apply to custom pieces

Payment Terms

Payment terms for custom furniture orders in New Zealand:

  • A deposit of 30-50% is required upon order confirmation and design approval
  • Progress payments may be requested for larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon completion and before delivery or installation
  • We accept payment by bank transfer (New Zealand banks), cash, or EFTPOS at our Christchurch workshop
  • All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST (Goods and Services Tax) where applicable
  • Payment plans may be available for larger projects; terms to be agreed upon in writing

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, Frexalonphep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the website or custom furniture services, except where such limitation is prohibited by New Zealand consumer protection legislation.

Our liability for custom furniture defects, delivery delays, or service issues is limited to the value of the furniture order or the cost of repair/replacement, as appropriate under New Zealand consumer law. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our Christchurch workshop operations.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Frexalonphep from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the website, violation of these terms, or misuse of custom furniture delivered to your New Zealand address. This includes damage caused by improper installation, modification, or use of furniture contrary to our care instructions.
